I recently completed my QQI Level 5 in Early Childcare course at City College Dublin, and overall, it was a really positive experience. The course was delivered over a short timeframe, which made it ideal for fitting around other commitments, and it never felt overwhelming to me, while studying and being a mom of my own two children. The structure was clear and easy to follow, with well-organized modules and straightforward instructions on all the assignments and projects. My lecturer Fationa, was great with guiding me through the assignments and helped a great deal with the course. The online platform was simple to navigate, so I always knew where to find materials, assignments, and feedback without any confusion. Fationa was supportive and responsive, providing helpful guidance whenever needed. Assignments were practical and relevant, which made the learning experience engaging and worthwhile. I would definitely recommend City College Dublin to anyone looking for a flexible, efficient way to complete a QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Childcare. I will be furthering my studies with City College Dublin, and I look forward to completing the degree programme.

City College Dublin really suited my continuing education in 2025, when I enrolled for the professional diploma in Criminology and Forensic psychology. Spear headed by the brilliant mind of leading criminologist and magistrate John Deane O Keefe, the course was delivered both in house and on line , with digital students able to engage effortlessly via the Teams app. With some guest speakers throughout the course, the subject matter modules were delivered in a timely and highly informative way. Using Moodle uploads to supplement the class content delivery, the learning was a thorough and informative experience. Excellent technology and a strict integrity ethos on plagiarism / AI , City College Dublin impressed me from day one. Despite the subject matter of crime and victimology at times heavy listening , John Deane O Keefe has an inherent ability to deliver course content in a way that values the sensitivity of the students , while ensuring the topics were adequately covered . Overall I was very impressed with both the course and the college and would highly recommend it to those considered advancing their education in specific areas of law, Criminology and Forensic psychology ( amongst others ). I am hoping to do the advanced Dip. In Criminology when it becomes available, so my journey is not complete yet. Researching for the end of term assignments was invigorating. I loved every moment of it. Any opportunity to learn is an opportunity not to be missed .

I really enjoyed this early learning and care level 5 course. I found it very interesting and very beneficial. The course content was very informative and knowledgeable. At first, I found Moodle a little bit difficult to navigate but once I got the hang of it, it was quite easy to use and all the information needed was there. Sometimes there was a lot of content to read and I did find it a lot at times even stressful especially in the evenings as I work full time and had a house and family to care for. I am a very visual learner, so I did enjoy the videos and live classes. I really found the inclusive and child development modules very interesting and gave me a better understanding of the holistic wellbeing of a child. I also enjoyed my work placement where I gained a lot of hands-on experience. I felt my tutor Fationa Demiraj was very supportive, understanding and easy to talk to and for this I would like to thank her.  I feel that I am more confident and am looking forward to working as an early years educator in the near future.

I have just completed the level 7 Special Purpose Award in Special Education with City College Dublin (Formerly Progressive College). From the moment that I enquired about the course I found them so helpful. The course was presented clearly and concisely and it was great to have the option of the recorded lectures. I would highly recommend City College Dublin to anyone looking to up skill in the evenings.

My online training as an Special Needs Assistant (SNA) at City College Dublin (formerly Progressive College) in Ireland, in-conjunction with Amicus school in Kenya has really impacted me as a person. I was thrilled by the course outline and the quality of the contents. The material provided was very satisfactory and challenging. I would also like to thank my lecturer for her support and mentorship throughout my studies. Through her feedback and guidance I was able to widen my perspectives and understandings, enabling me to obtain new knowledge and learn new techniques which I could put into practice during my internship. I feel empowered and ready to work with children with special needs, at the same time I am planning to further my studies and advance my knowledge in order to increase my skills and become aware of any new discovery on how to handle specific individualised needs, improving the wellbeing and learning ability for children with Special Needs in Kenya. I had such a good experience, my tutor Josephine Nealon was so helpful and fast at answering any questions I had. I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to advance in this career.
