Professional Diploma in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Students will need to have a basic level of computer literacy, there are no other background requirements for this CCNA course.

CCNA 200-301 Official Cert Guide Library 1st Edition

Network Fundamentals which include network devices such as routers and switches, analysis of frames in a network, IPv4 and IPv6, TCP and UDP.

Network Access which focuses on Wireless LANs and VLANs.

IP connectivity will focus on dynamic and static routing of IPv4 and IPv6.

IP services includes DHCP, DNS, NAT, File transfer protocols and secure shell communication.

Security Fundamentals covers protection of networks against attacks such as DHCP and ARP spoofing and protecting against STP attacks. The use of VPNs and IPsec are explained in detail. Access Control Lists will be introduced and the student will learn how to configure them to protect the network.

Automation and Programmability introduces the student to Software Defined Networks and the use of Application Programming Interfaces – APIs.

Course content is subject to review after each intake and may be updated in line with industry standards.

There are no examinations on this CCNA course. The programme will prepare you to take the CCNA exam which you can register for via Cisco’s official CCNA online exam proctoring page.

*Students will be required to manage and pay for the CCNA examination process independently.

Certification

Successful students will receive a certificate of completion.
