Conor Duff BL is the Head of the Law Faculty at City College Dublin and a practising barrister. He completed his LL.B. degree at Maynooth University, where he was awarded first-class honours, followed by an LL.M. at Trinity College Dublin, where he also received first-class honours with distinction. He is a graduate of the King’s Inns, having undertaken the Barrister-at-Law degree. Conor was awarded a prize by the Law Society of Ireland for achieving the highest result in the Diploma in Education Law. He also holds a Diploma in Construction Law and is an accredited mediator. He has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles in legal publications.

Conor lectures in Constitutional Law, Company Law, and European Union Law for students preparing for the FE-1 examinations. He has previously taught at the Law Society of Ireland, the Honorable Society of King’s Inns, and Maynooth University, teaching both third-level and professional law students. He was a finalist for the Irish Law Awards’ “Legal Educator of the Year,” having been nominated by his FE-1 students. Conor has taught thousands of FE-1 candidates, many of whom have gone on to win awards for achieving the highest marks in the subjects he teaches.

Orla Doolin is a practicing Barrister and a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, and the Honorable Society of Kings Inns. Having graduated with a degree in Law from Trinity College Dublin, Orla went on to complete a masters in Public Policy at University College Dublin, before attending the Honorable Society of Kings Inns. She was called to the Bar in 2023.

Orla also spent several years working as a legal researcher and subsequently as a disability advocate before commencing practice at the Bar.

Adam Connolly is a First Class Honours graduate of the Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) and Business degree at University of Galway where he graduated 1st in his class before obtaining a scholarship to read for the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at the University of Cambridge.

He is the winner of a number of scholarships and academic prizes including the Val O’Connor Memorial Prize for Equity and has been published in the Irish Law Times. Adam is a previous winner of the National Negotiation Competition and the Bar of Ireland Justice Week Debate.

Prior to joining City Colleges, he spent time working in the knowledge division of A&L Goodbody’s litigation department and is an alumnus of the Chief Justice’s Summer Placement Programme.

Ciarán Lawlor is a practicing Barrister and an experienced legal educator. Ciarán graduated from University College Dublin with an Honours Degree in Law, and proceeded to study at the Honorable Society of the King’s Inns. He completed his studies at the King’s Inns and was called to the Irish Bar in 2005. He subsequently completed an LLM in European Law also at UCD, graduating with distinction.

Prior to commencing practice at the Irish Bar, Ciarán interned with leading Irish law firm A&L Goodbody, and with Amnesty International (Ireland), and was an IRCHSS funded project assistant on the EU Law PhD project at UCD. His practice focuses on civil law, with an emphasis on contract and commercial litigation, debt-collection, defamation, personal injuries, and tort law generally.

Ciarán has a broad experience of teaching law. He has been a Senior Tutor in UCD, and has lectured in tort law on the Graduate Diploma in Arbitration in UCD.

Brendan graduated with a degree in English Literature from Trinity College Dublin in 1996. He was called to the Irish Bar in 2005, and has been in practice at the Bar and lecturing on professional courses since 2006. He was awarded the Antonia O’Callaghan prize for Constitutional Law in 2004.

Since 2008, Brendan has lectured in Constitutional law, Equity & Trusts, Company law and European law for FE1 candidates. He has also lectured on the King’s Inns Entrance Examination course in Constitutional law since 2008.

An accomplished educator, Dr Bennett has lectured, moderated and supervised students in a number of third level institutions. She has extensive administrative experience, having served as a teaching and an administrative Principal at primary school level, and mentored newly appointed Principals, demonstrating a keen understanding and engagement with educational leadership.

Dr Bennett’s academic qualifications includes a Doctorate in Education with a specialisation in Music, and a Masters in Music, following a Bachelor of Education (Hons) from NUI. She is also a Licentiate of the Royal Colleges of Music with the Associated Board of Music. She studied at the Honorable Society of the Kings Inns from where she obtained a Barrister-at-Law degree, following  a Diploma in Legal Studies. She also holds qualifications in coaching, teaching English as a second language and a Diploma in Education Law with the Law society of Ireland.

Her previous multi-annual affiliation with the International Baccalaureate Organisation and her memberships  a number of  teaching, learning and  research committees at third level highlight her commitment to international education standards.

Dr. Bennetts multi-faceted background in Ireland and internationally demonstrates her commitment to educational excellence, with a keen awareness arising from her multiple perspectives as a teacher, a leader, and a lecturer of the ever-increasing legal responsibilities in schools and the need for continuing leadership development.

Dr Bennett now practices as a Barrister in Dublin.
