The Organisational Behaviour module in a business degree explores the dynamics of human behaviour within organizations, examining how individual, group, and structural factors influence workplace effectiveness and culture. Through case studies and interactive activities, students gain insights into managing people and fostering positive organisational environments. This module equips students with the skills to navigate and shape organisational behaviour, preparing them to lead effectively and enhance team performance in diverse business contexts.

Module Details

On completion of this module learners will have been enabled to:

  1. Debate the concepts and theories of organisational behaviour and the role culture plays in this behaviour;
  2. Compare and contrast various theories of motivation and leadership utilised by organisations;
  3. Evaluate various forms of traditional and modern organisational structures;
  4. Distinguish between team and group effectiveness;
  5. Outline a process of organisational change management.

This module will be assessed via 100% Continuous Assessment.

Where the combined marks of the assessment and examination do not reach the pass mark the learner will be required to repeat the element of assessment that they failed. Reassessment materials will be published on Moodle after the Examination Board Meeting and will be aligned to the MIMLOs and learners will be capped at 40% unless there are personal mitigating circumstances.
