City College Dublin accepts no responsibility for Cash or Postal Orders sent through the post. We request that you do not send us cash or postal money orders. In all cases places cannot be reserved on a course without a deposit. Late enrolments may be accepted subject to place availability.

Any booking for courses placed through this site is made subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline to supply any individual or company, or to refuse any booking for a course. City College Dublin reserves the right to change course schedules, with reasonable notice, and to postpone or cancel a course. In the event of cancellation, the College will refund all fees paid. In the event that an agreed 3rd party payee does not pay for the course in its entirety, the student will be liable for the full amount outstanding to the College.

In exceptional circumstances (family bereavement, certified illness) learners may apply for a deferral. A deferral fee will apply. The deferral is granted at the discretion of the Academic Department and the deferred place must be taken up within one academic year. Deferrals are only granted if a learner has completed less than 50% of the course.

Payment can be made in person, over the phone or online using one of the following payment methods: VISA, MasterCard, VISA Debit.

CCD does not charge additional credit card fees. Bank charges may apply.

Booking deposits and fees/balances are non-refundable & non-transferable. Learners are liable for fees, whether or not they complete the course of study. Unless an instalment plan is in place course fees must be paid in full before the commencement date of the course. Except where stated, all fees are non-refundable. No fee refund or transfer will be made to students who fail to attend classes or who do not finish the course. Learners are deemed to have accepted these terms on payment of their deposit/fees. Important: To avoid issues in dealing with multiple banks, refunds can only be paid into an account where the name of the individual or business matches the name of the individual or business associated with the IBAN provided.

Should a student commence a programme/course and subsequently withdraw or defer from the programme/course at any stage from the programme/course, full fees remain due at that point

Where a learner is in arrears with their fees, he or she may be asked to leave the course. Blended/Online Learning Modules and all certificates will be suspended/withheld where accounts are in arrears.

City College Dublin shall not be liable for any failure of or delay in the performance of this agreement for the period that such failure or delay is beyond the reasonable control of City College Dublin, materially affects the performance of any of its obligations under this agreement, and could not reasonably have been foreseen or provided against (examples of force majeure under this agreement include, but are not limited to acts of God, pandemic, terrorist attack, governmental order, strikes, and lack of supplies), but will not be excused for failure or delay resulting from only general economic conditions or other general market effects.

The Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012, Part 6, requires that all programmes of 3 months or more duration have in place arrangements for the PEL to ensure learners have the opportunity to complete their programme of study. The College is very committed to ensuring that appropriate protection is established for their programmes. To that end, the College has implemented an insurance guarantee for all its programmes. Students will be required to purchase the Enrolled Learner Protection Insurance Product for it’s QQI accredited courses.

Learners are permitted to transfer to another QQI course offered by the College, should they satisfy the enrolment requirements for that course and should a course be available at the time. If a Learner requests to be transferred to an alternative course within two months of initial enrolment, no charge will be incurred. However, should a Learner submit a transfer request outside of this two-month period an administration charge, equal to 20%, of the total course fee will be incurred.

Learners who have completed modules of their major award may be able to transfer or progress to another programme of their choosing. Please contact your tutor or the Academic Department for further details.

Certification – Please Note: Students will only be put forward for certification if course fees have been paid in full. We are unable to process certification for students with outstanding fees.

The Student may (unless studying on a student visa) no later than two weeks prior to the commencement of the Programme cancel their acceptance by providing City College Dublin with written notice. If the Student so cancels their study, the Student’s liability to City College Dublin will be limited to payment to the College of a cancellation fee of €150 which may be deducted from any applicable refund. Any refund made by City College Dublin will be made to the original payer. Full course fees will be payable if less than two weeks’ notice is given, and no refund will be made in such circumstances. Refunds are not available of any amounts paid for study materials, where the materials have been supplied to the Student.

The Student may (unless studying on a student visa) defer enrolment in the Programme for one academic year, provided City College Dublin receives written notice at least two weeks prior to the Programme commencement date (the “Date of Deferment”) and the Student pays a €50 administrative fee at the discretion of the college.

The fees or any deposit paid by the Student will not be refunded but will be carried forward to the following academic year. Should the College fees change between the Date of Deferment and the date of commencement of the following academic year the Student will be liable to City College Dublin for any additional amount due and must pay it before the commencement of such academic year. Where an applicant has deferred their place on a programme and subsequently does not start the programme on a following intake the fees are not refundable or transferable and will be held in credit to be used by the applicant.

Where a student commences a programme of study and subsequently disengages or withdraws without formal notice while fees remain outstanding, re-admission to the programme may be permitted subject to full settlement of all outstanding fees and payment of a €150 reinstatement administration fee.
